Smart Investing with IntraFi®
Now known as the IntraFi network, CDARS/ICS refers to reciprocal deposit services for business and retail banking customers. If your business savings account exceeds the $250,000 FDIC insurance limit, you can access expanded FDIC insurance through your existing banking relationship. Protect your large deposits and earn a competitive interest rate on your savings. IntraFi also offers the convenience of a single monthly statement from the bank you already know and trust.
Why IntraFi Network Deposits?
IntraFi® Network Deposits℠ product, formerly known as ICS® and CDARS® deposit products, is a smart, convenient way to safeguard your large deposits. If your account has more than $250,000 to protect, IntraFi Network Deposits offers customers access to multi-million-dollar FDIC insurance, yield, and flexibility. By placing funds into demand deposit accounts, money market deposit accounts, or CD’s, you can access FDIC insurance from other banks that participate in the network.
How does the IntraFi Network work?
Administered by IntraFi, a trusted partner of more than 3,000 financial institutions in the U.S., the IntraFi network allows you to maintain a single relationship with one bank while receiving FDIC deposit insurance on up to $50 million, far more than the current limit of $250,000 per bank. So, you can continue to do all your business banking with American Community Bank while receiving the same amount of FDIC insurance as if you held multiple savings accounts at different financial institutions. As an added bonus, member banks in the IntraFi Network swap deposit amounts. This means that, while your business savings is divided among different banks, your total deposit amount will go to your primary bank to be reinvested in the community through loans.
